Founded by Women.
Built for Women.
Guided by Faith.
Noor Hafiza Academy was established by a group of certified female Hafizas with one shared purpose: to make quality Quran education accessible to every Muslim woman and child across the United States — in a safe, respectful, and women-led environment.
Noor Hafiza Academy is a women-led online Quran academy founded and run by certified female Hafizas. It employs over 13 female Quran teachers specializing in Tajweed, Hifz, Noorani Qaida, and Islamic Studies. The academy serves Muslim women and children across all 50 US states through live one-to-one online classes delivered via Zoom and Google Meet.
How Noor Hafiza Academy came to be
Noor Hafiza Academy was born from a simple but urgent observation: Muslim families across the United States were searching for qualified female Quran teachers and finding very few reliable options. Fathers wanted their daughters taught by women. Mothers wanted to restart their own Quran journey in a comfortable, private setting. Children needed patient, structured guidance from teachers who understood how young learners think and feel.
The founders — a group of certified Hafizas from Pakistan — had been teaching Quran for years within their own communities. When they recognized how large and underserved the American Muslim market was, they made a collective decision: to build something structured, professional, and purpose-driven for Muslim families abroad.
What began as a small team of three teachers quickly grew as word spread among Pakistani diaspora families in Houston, Dearborn, Chicago, and New York. Parents shared their experiences. Sisters referred other sisters. Children who completed Noorani Qaida enrolled their younger siblings. The academy expanded organically, guided entirely by the quality of its teaching and the trust of its families.
Today, Noor Hafiza Academy is home to more than 13 certified female Quran teachers, each specializing in one or more programs — from foundational Arabic letter recognition to full Hifz memorization. Every teacher is a Hafiza. Every class is live and one-to-one. Every student is treated with the patience and dignity they deserve.
The name “Noor Hafiza” carries the academy’s identity. Noor means light — the light of Quran that guides, clarifies, and elevates. Hafiza is the feminine form of Hafiz, a woman who carries the entire Quran in her heart. Together, the name describes exactly what the academy stands for: women who carry light and share it with others.
What we stand for and where we are going
Noor Hafiza Academy is guided by three foundational commitments that shape every class, every teacher, and every student experience.
To provide every Muslim woman and child in the United States with access to a certified female Quran teacher who teaches with patience, precision, and genuine care — removing every barrier of geography, comfort, and availability that has historically made Quran education difficult for women abroad.
To become the most trusted and recognized female-led Quran academy serving Muslim families across the English-speaking world — where the name Noor Hafiza Academy is synonymous with quality, safety, and the highest standard of Islamic education delivered by women, for women and children.
Every student who joins Noor Hafiza Academy will be matched with a teacher who meets their level, respects their pace, and never makes them feel ashamed of where they are starting. The first class is always free. Progress is always measured by quality, not speed.
The principles that guide every class
These are not aspirational statements. These are the operating principles that every teacher at Noor Hafiza Academy is trained on and held accountable to.
Every class is a private one-to-one session. No mixed groups. No male teachers for female students. Modesty is not a preference — it is a design principle built into every part of how we operate.
Correction without kindness breaks confidence. At Noor Hafiza Academy, teachers are trained to correct accurately and patiently — so students feel supported, not judged, at every stage of learning.
Ten lines read correctly are worth more than ten pages read weakly. We build solid foundations before moving forward. Retention, accuracy, and confidence are measured above page counts.
Parents are partners in their child’s Quran journey. We keep families informed after every class so that revision continues at home and learning does not stop when the screen closes.
Every teacher is a certified Hafiza — a woman who has memorized the complete Quran and holds teaching qualifications. This is the non-negotiable standard we maintain across our entire teaching team.
Geography should never prevent a Muslim woman from learning Quran. We serve students in all 50 US states, multiple time zones, and a wide range of learning levels — from absolute beginners to advanced Hifz students.
The most powerful Quran learning comes from small, regular sessions over time — not occasional long marathons. We help every student build a sustainable weekly routine that they can maintain for months and years.
Whether a student starts at age 6 or age 46, whether they have never read a letter or need to rebuild from scratch — there is no shame at Noor Hafiza Academy. Every starting point is equally honored.
The women who built this academy
Noor Hafiza Academy was founded by three certified Hafizas who shared a vision: to make female-led Quran education accessible to every Muslim family in the USA.
Hafiza Malaika completed her Hifz at the age of 14 and has over 12 years of experience teaching Quran to women and children. She leads the Hifz and Tajweed programs and has personally guided hundreds of students through full Quran memorization journeys.
Hafiza Maryam is a Tajweed specialist with a formal certification in Qiraat and over 10 years of experience teaching women and children online. She developed the academy’s structured Tajweed curriculum and personally trains new teachers before they join the team.
Hafiza Hifza oversees the curriculum design, teacher onboarding, and student placement process at Noor Hafiza Academy. With a background in Islamic education and 9 years of teaching experience, she ensures every program is structured, measurable, and student-centered.

How our teachers are trained to teach
At Noor Hafiza Academy, joining as a teacher is not simply a matter of being a Hafiza. Every teacher goes through an onboarding process that covers our teaching methodology, student communication standards, progress tracking, and how to adapt their style to different learner types — children, adult beginners, returning students, and advanced Hifz candidates.
Our curriculum team, led by co-founder Hafiza Hifza, reviews each teacher’s first month of classes and provides structured feedback. Teachers are held to consistent quality standards that protect the student experience at every class.
Hafiza Certification Verified
Every teacher must hold a verified Hafiza certification before joining. We do not accept fluent reciters without memorization credentials for teaching Tajweed or Hifz programs.
Curriculum Onboarding
New teachers complete our internal curriculum training covering lesson structure, student progression, parent communication, and mistake-correction methodology.
Trial Teaching Period
Every new teacher completes a supervised trial period with real students before being assigned independently. Quality is reviewed and feedback given.
Ongoing Review & Support
Teachers receive regular feedback from our curriculum team. Student satisfaction, progress tracking, and parent reports are reviewed monthly to maintain standards across the team.
What makes us different from every other online Quran academy
The online Quran academy market has grown rapidly in recent years. Families searching for “online Quran classes USA” will find dozens of options. So why choose Noor Hafiza Academy?
The answer is simple: we are one of the very few academies that is genuinely, structurally, and operationally female-led. Our founders are women. Our teachers are women. Our curriculum is designed around the specific educational and emotional needs of female students and families who prioritize a safe, private, and respectful learning environment.
What Most Academies Get Wrong
Most online Quran academies treat female teacher availability as an optional feature — something they offer when requested if a female teacher happens to be free. At Noor Hafiza Academy, female instruction is not optional. It is the default, the standard, and the only model we operate.
Many academies also prioritize page count over quality. Students finish Noorani Qaida in weeks without truly internalizing the sounds. They move through Quran pages without Tajweed correction becoming a habit. They memorize quickly and forget quickly. We deliberately avoid this model. Our teachers are trained to move forward only when the current level is genuinely solid.
Our Commitment to American Muslim Families
We understand the specific context of Muslim families living in the United States. Children growing up in American schools face a different set of identity pressures than children in predominantly Muslim countries. Mothers who work, drive, cook, and manage households in addition to wanting to strengthen their own Islamic practice need flexibility and understanding, not rigid class structures.
- Class schedules are built around US time zones, school runs, and work hours
- Teachers are briefed on the cultural context of diaspora Muslim families
- Islamic Studies curriculum addresses identity, belonging, and daily Muslim practice in the American context
- Parent communication is conducted in English with full clarity about progress and next steps
- Every student is treated as an individual with their own pace, goals, and life circumstances
This is what it means to be truly built for your family — not just available to it.
All Teachers Are Hafizas
Not fluent reciters. Not graduates with a reading certificate. Every teacher at Noor Hafiza Academy has memorized the complete Quran and holds a verified Hafiza certification.
100% Female. Always.
No male teachers. No mixed classes. No exceptions. This is not a feature we turn on for specific requests — it is the only way we operate, built into the academy from day one.
Live. Not Recorded.
Every class is a live one-to-one session with a real teacher who listens, corrects, and adapts to each student in real time. We do not sell recorded lessons or group video content.
What Muslim families across the USA are saying
My daughter completed Noorani Qaida in four months and is now reading Quran smoothly. The teacher never made her feel nervous. She actually looks forward to her class every week. That was not something I expected from online learning.
I had not opened the Quran properly in 15 years. I was embarrassed. The teacher at Noor Hafiza Academy treated me with so much respect. She started from exactly where I was, no pressure, no comparison. My Tajweed is now genuinely improving for the first time in my life.
We enrolled both our sons for Hifz. The teachers track their daily sabaq and revision so carefully. I have tried two other academies before this. Noor Hafiza Academy is the only one where I could see real measurable progress week after week. Highly recommended.
